Title
Kierkegaard: On Guilt
Abstract

Guilt is a multivariate phenomenon that defies absolute categorization. Theologians speak of objective guilt, psychologists refer to guilt as feeling and the variety of interpretations within these disciplines provides a frequently muddled understanding of the subject. It is therefore appropriate to pursue the study of guilt in a manner which clarifies its core components as a basis for depth insight. Soren Kierkegaard is especially helpful in this context since he offers precedents for the integrative analysis of guilt emanating from his loyalties to Christianity and accurate self-understanding.
