Title
A Selective Response to Saucy
Abstract

The author responds to Saucy'€™s (1987) reaction to his article, "€œPositive Links Among Obedience Pressure, Religiosity, and Measures of Cognitive Accomplishment."€ While finding Saucy'€™s reactions primarily interesting and helpful, the author does find one point at which he must challenge Saucy, that is, the extent to which religion fosters the appropriateness of obeying without understanding.
