Title
Internal Locus of Control for Expectation, Perception and Management of Answered Prayer
Abstract

Locus of control is the learned approach to assigning cause to outcomes. Individuals who see events as self-determined are internals and those who see them as determined by outside factors are externals. Therapists who work with internals know them to be generally self-sufficient, goal-directed and responsible. Thus when they submit to therapy they admit to a deficiency similar to the admission of helplessness when they pray. They may need assistance in being as effective in setting goals and recognizing and managing outcomes in therapy and prayer as they believe themselves to be in other aspects of life.
