Title
Jonathan Edwards' Analysis of Religious Experience
Abstract

Jonathan Edwards'€appraisal of religious experience is analyzed from the perspectives: (a) the cultural and historical setting in which he lived; (b) this psychological understanding of human nature; and (c) his theological analysis of religious experience. The conclusion is that for Edwards such experience is not a product of an "either/or" choice between reason and emotion. Rather, it is an integrated experience of love.
