Title
Religious Group Value Patterns and Motive Oorientations
Abstract

The Political Cube and Christian Cube models as developed from Psychopolitical theory examined value patterns of religious churchgoers. Comparisons between the Andre Psychopolitical Scale, the Andre Psychopolitical Differential and the Rokeach Value Survey suggested that churchgoing groups were more oriented toward Love, Security, and Rationality than controls, Christian churchgoers were distinct from non-Christian churchgoers, and all groups had consistent value patterns and motive orientations. It was suggested that further questions concerning religious values may be addressed from either religious or political domains of inquiry.
