Title
Assumptions and Parameters for Developing Christian Psychological Systems
Abstract

Serious attempts to integrate psychology and theology have increased both in frequency and quality during the latter half of the past decade. Crucial to this activity is specification of assumptions, both about the Bible and Christian experience, and the nature of system-building. While there is a general consensus on the central assumption of the Creatorship, Lordship, and Sustainership of Christ, considerable variability exists regarding peripheral but, nevertheless, important assumptions. This variability contributes to the varieties of Christian psychologies. These peripheral assumptions are given special consideration.
